I have been looking for the perfect outdoor furniture for awhile now. I wanted something a little bit different, but I wanted it to still be comfy. Let’s be honest, who wants to hang out outside on uncomfortable furniture? As you may know we are moving in with my Aunt while we build. I wanted to create a fun outdoor space for my family.
Here is the before
Such a fun area right!! It just needed some pruning and cleaning up a bit. Ready to see what it looks like now?
To say I am excited to spend some time out here this summer is an understatement. Isn’t it just beautiful. I love the full grow trees…. and let’s talk about that furniture!!!
I found the perfect furniture at Article! Not only was it the style I was looking for but it is so comfy.
Article has recently expanded their outdoor furniture line to include some new looks. Those looks are: Sophisticated Bohemian, Garden Scandinavian, Industrial Pop. They are super stylish, and you can mix and match to get that perfect look for your patio this year! (shop here)
How to Create the Perfect Outdoor Space
Pick a style
I wanted a Boho feel with a modern flair for my outdoor space. Don’t those chairs scream Boho. I love their shape and style. Plus, they are oh so comfy. (view here)
To add a touch of modern I added this table with clean lines. Notice how they both have the same color scheme which blends the styles perfectly.
Make your space functional
Like I said I wanted a place to hang out this summer or maybe take a nap or 2! This sectional, also from Article is perfect for that. (shop here)
It is a deeper couch and the cushions are nice and soft for summer naps.
I also loved the texture the wicker adds to the space. The entire frame except the legs are covered in wicker. The frame of this couch is metal making it one sturdy piece of furniture. (view here)
The wood legs also give the couch a modern flair as well! Notice how the couch also has the same wood and grey color scheme as the other items. This helps to bring everything together.
Once you have your main pieces you can add accessories to really bring the whole look together. I strung lights from the trees (view them here)
I wanted to add a bit of color to finish off the look. I did that with these fun throw pillows and blanket from Target. I also added in a few faux plants and real potted flowers to help bring everything together.
