Hi I am Brooke!  I love to DIY just about anything, if I can do it so can you!!

When I had my first baby the husband and I decided I was going to stay home.  I loved being a mom, but I needed a creative outlet.  I started doing home projects and little crafts.  That soon turned into a new home that was a BIG fixer upper.  You can view that house here 

As we remodeled I began to refinish furniture to fill our new home. My neighbors started asking me to refinish furniture for them.  One day my husband brought home a $40 table for me to refinish and sell.  View it here  I listed the table on the local classifieds and it sold in 20 minutes and I had 4 people wanting another one.  Let's just say it all snowballed from there. My following began to grow outside of Utah.  I was having requests for items from all over the country.  I decided to expand my business.  We bought a CNC machine and started creating reclaimed wood signs with my handwritten wood words on them. 

With in a few months they went viral on Pinterest.  We had more orders than we could handle.  I sent all day in the garage filling orders and creating new items to sell.  We were getting big enough I was looking to move the business out of my house.  

Until I started seeing my signs in big box stores for a fraction of the price. China had knocked me off.  I had heard about this happening so I started to do research.  Come to find out there was nothing I could do about it.  

I was at a crossroads.  Come up with new designs and try to keep ahead of China or close up shop.  After a lot of tears and prayers.  My husband and I decided it was time to close up shop and head a different direction with my business. 

We sold our fixer upper and bought a lot to build our dream home on.  My husband and I did a lot of the finish work on this home during building.  Even though we have moved in I am still doing lots of fun projects and updates.  Check it out here

I have no formal training, I have learned by trial and error all of too often.  But If I can do it so can you.  So stop thinking about it and just dive it.  I find this is the best way to learn.
