Remodeled Home

We bought our home 7 years ago. Over the last 7 years we have remodeled this house into our home. It has been a labor of love to say the least, but I love that I can say we have done most of the work ourselves. Here is our home tour.

Home Tour

We redid the entire exterior of our home. When we bought this house there was no grass on the property, just overgrown everything.

Once we removed "the jungle" we replaced the siding with hardy board. I did paint the exterior myself. You can see my tutorials here.

Entry

And now for the interior of our home tour! Our entry way was dark and covered in wallpaper.

It looks so much lighter and brighter now!

Kitchen and Dining room

(Before)

This open kitchen/dining/living area sold me on the house. We added the granite, backsplash and hardware on the cabinets.

I refinished this table (post here), and also converted the 4 chairs to wood seats instead of upholstered (tutorial here). I upholstered the 2 end chairs (post here).

Pantry renovation - Farmhouse style kitchen

We also removed the corner cabinet and added open shelves instead. It has been a great place for me to display dishes I collect. (tutorial here)

One of my favorite projects was our pantry. We removed these bi-fold doors and opened the space.

This space is much more functional now. We also moved our mini fridge over here and got an ice maker. (full post here)

The reclaimed wood came from a field. My papa found it for me and it is so beautiful! I made the slip cover for this chair as well.

Our half bath is an odd shape that required creativity. I adjusted the space to make it feel bigger.

I refinished this railing by bleaching the wood and applying a white stain, topped off with Special Walnut by Minwax. The spindles are painted with Bright White by Sherwin Williams.
