Brooke's Honest Review of Ruggable Rugs
I have now had 4 ruggable rugs for 4 years. While slightly different from a traditional rug, I can't complain that they are all still going strong and I have not needed to replace them. Let me give you a quick run down of my top key points.
The Pros
- They are machine-washable rugs
- Easy for spot cleaning
- They are great with dogs
- Holds up in high-traffic areas
- The pad below is rubber and stays in place well
- Lots of designs
- Can use in an outdoor space
The Cons
- Not a fluffy or plush rug
- Edges can wave or ripple a little over time - you can see this in the pictures below after 4 years of using them
- Ruggable designs can fade over time with washing
The edges ruffle a little bit over time because the nonslip pad underneath doesn't go all the way to the very edge. Honestly, this hasn't bothered me and I have not tripped on any edges on the rug in my master bathroom. But I could understand if others may prefer a flat edge.
Let's go into more detail.
Durability and Longevity
One important aspect to consider when deciding if Ruggable rugs are worth the investment is their durability and longevity. These rugs consistently hold up well to heavy foot traffic, making them ideal for high traffic areas in the home.
I currently am using these rugs in my master bathroom, kitchen and mudroom. The kitchen and mudroom especially see more foot traffic than any other in my house. They are a great option for any area in your home, including a busy family room, hallway or dining area.
The innovative two-piece system of a Ruggable rug allows for easy washing in your washing machine by removing the top layer away from the non-slip rug pad. This not only keeps the washable rug looking fresh but also extends its lifespan. With proper care and maintenance, Ruggable rugs are designed to withstand the test of time, ensuring that you get the most out of your purchase.
As you weigh the pros and cons of Ruggable rugs, it's also essential to take into account the wide range of design options and versatility they offer.
Design Options and Versatility for Ruggable Rugs
When it comes to design options, the Ruggable brand truly shines. With a variety of patterns, colors, and styles to choose from, there is a number of designs to suit every taste and decor aesthetic. Whether you prefer a bold geometric print or a more subtle traditional pattern, Ruggable has the perfect rug for you.
Additionally, the versatility of these rugs is unmatched. They can be easily swapped out to refresh a room's look in any space of your house. Use them in your living room, under your dining table, in your bathrooms or down your hallways. I also love to use these for outdoor rugs. Because they are machine washable, I have no regret putting a nice rug outside for a stylish touch on my patio or deck.
Ease of Cleaning and Maintenance
Considering the ease of cleaning and maintenance, Ruggable rugs continue to impress. The two-part system allows for effortless washing in a standard washing machine, making it simple to tackle spills, pet accidents, or just regular wear and tear. For me, it's a total game changer knowing that I can wash my own rugs. Add a little stain remover, toss in with a mild detergent and it comes out good as new.
By following the care instructions provided, you can keep your Ruggable rug looking as good as new for years to come. This convenience factor adds to the overall value proposition of Ruggable rugs, making them a practical and aesthetically pleasing choice for any space.
Value for Money
When it comes to value for money, Ruggable rugs offer an attractive option. While the initial price point may be slightly higher compared to a regular rug, the durability and longevity of Ruggable rugs make them a worthwhile investment in the long run. The fact that they are machine washable also adds to their value, as you won't need to spend extra money on professional cleaning services. Overall, the convenience, durability, and stylish designs of Ruggable rugs make them a cost-effective choice for any home.
Customer Satisfaction and Ratings
This focus on value is also reflected in the positive customer satisfaction and ratings that Ruggable rugs receive. Customers consistently praise the easy maintenance and high quality of these rugs, with many noting how well they hold up over time.
I will also add that even though there are a few cons, like edges waving and rugs lacking plushness, I still prefer to use these because they hold up over time and I can clean them myself. If you really want a more plush rug, try adding in an additional cushioned pad underneath for extra support. The rippling edges can also be adjusted by adding extra placement pads at the corners of the rug.
