Accent Wallpaper Ideas for Bedroom
If anyone is dying to go bold, a great way to make a statement is to have an accent wall in your bedroom. I LOVE this dark, floral accent wallpaper from Anewall for its neutral colors with a subtle pink for a pop of color. You can really pull any of the hues from this color palette to add detail in the bedroom.
I love this type of wallpaper so much that we used it in my younger daughter's room in our new house. She was really focused on finding a way to incorporate dark colors in her bedroom and this was the perfect solution! I love the bold vitality of this wall because you can accent the room in other subtle colors or white walls while still enjoying a fun flare.
Because this room has high ceilings and windows, the wallpaper choice is beautifully dramatic while still making the room look spacious. And doesn't this wallpaper look just like a painting? No need for artwork with the floral patterns of this dark mural.
This is a room from one of my daughters in our remodeled house. If you aren't sold on the idea of utilizing wallpaper, another good idea is constructing a half wall with a chair rail accent and the other with wallpaper so it's not too overwhelming. This can be easier to enjoy versus an entire room of wallpaper. And it just might encourage you to try a bold color choice in your whimsical wallpaper if you know it will be balanced. Here is another lovely bedroom with an accent wall of bright colors, emphasizing the main focal point of the room. The gold and white wallpaper presents a nice pop of color to accompany the neutral bedding selection. I see this more and more with one wall accented and I love it.
Laundry and Bathroom Wallpaper
Who else hates doing laundry? Most laundry rooms are ugly and boring and can be a place we dread. However, I find that if I do something fun on the walls (like I did in my old laundry room below) then all of the laundry folding isn't as much of a deterrent if I'm happy to be in the living space. An accent wall in a laundry room is the perfect way to brighten up a smaller space.
Here is another fun one for the laundry room enthusiast. How's that for being an effective way to get someone in the room to fold?
And I couldn't pass up the opportunity to spice up my own laundry room in our new home. I added a wood accent wall with some simple wall paneling for the base and then added the wallpaper and an open shelf. An easy way to spruce up small spaces is to add just a touch of design so it doesn't overwhelm the eye.
And how about my daughter's bohemian style bathroom? I love this midcentury influenced bathroom and boho bedroom combination. I opted to use an easy stick wallpaper that wouldn't require all of the work that traditional wallpaper does. Plus, the bathroom is the perfect place to use vibrant colors that will bring a unique look to the space.

Brighten Your Entry, Hall or Staircase
Wow, isn't this so fun? Entryways and staircases aren't generally known for adding wallpaper, but we are seeing it more and more to set the tone for your home. And look how stylish and eye-catching this kind of wallpaper pattern is? Paint is out and wallpaper is moving in. Source unknown.
I just might be in LOVE with this hallway! What a gorgeous way to accent this space. A classic black and white scheme from the hallway and leading into the living room is very elegant and inviting. Source here.
Non-floral Accent Wallpaper Ideas
Floral isn't your thing? They have so many fun geometric patterns and other options to use on your walls. I really like this one from Deeply Southern Home. What a fun home office space! It is neutral yet still makes the room feel bold.
This is such a fun pattern for a living space! Technically, these are decals but with all the options out there, polka dot print is definitely in and a great choice for adding some spice to a room.
Herringbone patterns are also a popular choice for accent wallpaper ideas. I love this one as the accent wall in this nursery. The designs are subtle but everything fits the space.

Do you love the idea of shiplap? This identical wallpaper looks just like vertical shiplap, but without all the extra time, labor and money. A beautiful bedroom accent wall that provides a cozy atmosphere.
Creating a room with modern accent wallpaper ideas doesn't have to be hard. All you need is some inspirational wallpaper designs to get the creativity flowing. Make your home decorating really stand out with a beautiful wallpaper accent as a focal point.
