Add a little embellishment to your entryway Halloween decorations with a classic and spooky black and white theme.
What better way to be greeted at your front door than with a little spooky decor this Halloween season? Believe it or not, outdoor decorations are not the only items that can make an amazing haunted house. Your interior spooky vibes can make just as big of an impact. Let's take a look at these easy and classic decor options that present a whole new display when used for your Halloween entryway decorating.
Seasonal Tips for Entryway Halloween Decorations
Decorating for Halloween is one of my favorites. This year it is especially meaningful because last year we lived with family while our home was being built. It was so much fun to finally add in some seasonal decor to our interior. Let me share with you these easy tips for pulling off an eerie entryway.
Use a Black and White Color Scheme
If you're ever in a design rut and don't know what color theme to choose, pick a classic. Black and white color schemes are an easy fall back when it comes to your Halloween decor. Orange and black are great, even purple and black too. But you can never fail on making a classic black and white theme look good.
Establish a Main Focal Point
Start with creating a fresh focus in your front entryway. A table is great for adding dimension so I moved everything else out of this space except for my entryway table made from pallet wood.
For the main focal point I opted for a spooky sign. I love this witch artwork from Krumpets decor. It was my main inspiration for decorating this space.
Because this wall area is so large, I tried to layer behind the artwork so the space wouldn't look empty in comparison to size. An entryway mirror or a framed black chalkboard like I used, are good options for neutral layering. I draped a black cloth over the front to create a few more spooky vibes.
Add Small Details in Entryway Halloween Decorations
Details in your design can go a long way to making your room extra special. I didn't want our entryway completely overbearing, but rather a collection of smaller design elements to compliment the classic black and white theme. Small details in your decor can help with that.
Witch Hats
These fun witch hats are also from Krumpets decor. I like to frame around the main focal point and these are perfect for that. You can probably find some similar on Amazon or create your own with paint or black card stock.
Vase with Branches
I also included a dark vase with bare branches and some small, decorative brooms. You can easily make this yourself by spray painting any dead branches that you have in your yard.
Spooky Floral Arrangements
Just because summer flowers aren't in season doesn't mean you can't include a few spooky arrangements. Change up your traditional colorful florals by making a black and white themed bouquet and putting it in white pumpkins with a Sharpie design. See how those minor details add to our theme? It's a thrifty DIY craft to take your decor to the next level. Here is another easy DIY for fall pumpkins with succulents.
Pumpkins
Additional pumpkins are a perfect accent and balance out my table on both sides. You can pick up a few small ones at any craft store or dollar shopping area. But if you want to get a little more creative, here are a couple embellishments that I've tried and love.

Don't Neglect the Walls
Don't forget about your walls. And in some cases, even the ceiling! This is a really fun area to get a little creative with your decorations for Halloween night. Grab some party ceiling hooks or command strips to attach decor.
Halloween Bats
I bought these bats this year from Amazon and I can't believe the impact they make in this space. Paper bats can be a little flimsy, so finding something that is a little more sturdy is ideal. Plus, you can reuse them. I added bats up above the wall, almost to the height of the ceiling.
Spider and Spider Web
And I had to add something that scared my kids. This spider did the trick as I placed it up in the corner above the front door. I don't love the grotesque and horror vibes, but incorporating a traditional scary element can be fun. Details on your wall and ceiling can really impact the flow of your space and I love how they compliment my entryway.
If you don't want to attach anything to your wall, you can also opt to attach something onto light fixtures that is lightweight and not flammable.
