Create the Sugar Globe Base

Now, let's move on to creating the sugar globe. Carefully pour the granulated sugar into the glass jar, filling it up about a quarter of the way.

Gently shake the jar to distribute the sugar along the bottom, creating a snowy foundation for your festive decorations. Once the sugar is in place, it's time to add in your chosen houses, miniature Christmas trees, figurines, or ornaments.

Begin by positioning the house in the jar as the first step. I chose to place mine slightly off-center, shifting it to one side to create more visual interest and leave room for additional decorations. By doing this, I had enough space to add bottle brush trees on one side of the house, which helped create a balanced and charming scene.

Add Festive Decorations

To make your DIY sugar snow globe even more magical and festive, consider adding some lights to bring the winter wonderland scene to life. I used battery-operated fairy lights, which are easy to tuck around the figurines, adding a soft, twinkling glow that enhances the snowy ambiance.

Additionally, I placed a small tea light inside the house to make it appear warmly lit from within, so it truly glows at night. The combination of these lights creates a cozy, illuminated effect, making the snow globe a captivating display in low light or evening settings.

Small sparkly ornaments, mini candy canes, or a small snowman can be added inside of the globe to add depth and dimension to your creation. These festive decorations will bring an extra touch of magic to your snow globe, making it a beautiful addition to your holiday decor.

Display Your Sugar Snow Globe

After you have added your festive decorations, it is time to create a beautiful centerpiece or decoration in your home. Find a spot in your kitchen where it can be admired by all. Whether it's on the counter, or as part of a festive centerpiece on your dining table. Your handmade creation will surely spark joy and add a touch of whimsy to your holiday decor.
