How to Make Christmas Bath Salt Jars
These bath salt jars are so fun and simple. My daughter asked for help to come up with an idea to give her school friends and these are the perfect solution!
Step 1 - Grab Your Supplies
All of these supplies were found at Target. Keep in mind that your jar can be small but also needs to be big enough to fit your winter trees or whatever you decide to put in there. Purchase a jar or container with a lid or you can even use a small mason jar. Epsom salts are pretty easy to find. I like the Dr. Teal's brand, but you can use any kind.
Step 2 - Add Epsom Salts
Take your jar and fill it approximately a third of the way full. Depending on the size of your jar you might want to increase that amount closer to half way full. Doesn't the salt look just like snow? That special someone will be soaking in that winter wonderland in no time.
Step 3 - Add Your Decorations
Take a few of your mini-sized Christmas trees and place them inside your jar. Mix and match colors and sizes for a little variety. You'll want to slightly bury them into the bath salts so they stay upright without falling over if the jar is bumped.
With it being this close to the holidays, the mini trees may not be accessible at your store. Here are a few other substitution options for your winter terrarium:
- Real pine or evergreens
- Pinecones
- Ornaments like snowflakes or icicles
- Faux branches with greenery or red berries
Any of these items will work to create a winter wonderland snow globe.
