How to Host an Awesome At Home Party for Your New Year's Eve Celebration
Make your celebration with friends and family members so much fun with these great ideas to begin the brand new year, including free New Year printables below. What better way to celebrate than from the comfort of your own home!
Pick a New Year's Eve Party Theme
Pick a theme that will be ideal for your party. Choosing a theme based on colors is always an easy go-to option. I decided to go with a black, white and gold colored theme for our New Year's party.
Embellish Food Item Presentation
Adding some pizzazz to your food display is a great way to vamp up your presentation. We don't drink, but we do love our Martinelli's. Glittery champagne glasses are the perfect accessory to hold drinks. Who doesn't love to create a sparkly new year?
Shopping at a dollar store or Target dollar section are great options for finding cheap dinnerware like paper plates, bowls or glasses for parties.
And you can't host a fun party without having a bunch of munchies around. Charcuterie boards, a cheese board, toffee apple dip or even a hot chocolate bar are fun ideas. These candy items on display are fun to color coordinate in cute decorative jars and platters. Remember when you are hosting a party to have varying heights to your display to add some dimension.
Use Party Decor to Match
Don't underestimate the power of matching party decor to set the mood for your special occasion. The rest of these supplies I found on Amazon - you can shop them below! What party would be complete without some sparkle to brighten up the space? I love the gold accents with all of the party decor.
Fan Flowers or Pom Poms
Fan flowers are festive and a lot of fun for any party. They bring a big punch, but when you are done they fold up nice and small for storage.
Face Masks
The gold glitter masks were at Target's dollar spot. What party would be complete without a little bit of pizazz and sparkle? I love the gold accents with all of the party decor. They are great photo ops for photo booths too. If you can't find them at Target there are some great options on Amazon. Affiliate links below
Balloons
Younger kids especially will love to have balloons around. Create a festive balloon arch in your party color palette to have an awesome focal feature.
Banners
A New Year's banner is perfect for hanging over a doorway or to fill space. And a hanging garland that drapes down in a curtain is so much fun for kids to walk through.
