Styling White and Gold Christmas Decorations for Your Tree
Choose an appropriate color scheme for your tree that will go well with your Christmas decor. I set up our white flocked Christmas tree in our office. Because the walls and ceiling are painted a dark charcoal, a white tree looks absolutely stunning in this space.
This year my home office is capitalizing on the white Christmas tree look. Elegant gold and white color accents pay tribute to a classic Christmas theme. You can achieve this same look with a green Christmas tree, but I love the white and gold theme on a flocked tree. And don't forget, you can flock your own tree too.
Begin With Ribbon and Garland
To decorate your white and gold Christmas tree, start by adding your base layers of garland or ribbon. I love to use ribbon in my trees. See a tutorial on how to do it here. You can also see how I have added ribbon in layers, like with my green and brown tree.
For this tree, I opted for a lovely and textured faux fur ribbon, but you can also use a gold ribbon if you prefer more color. I also added a wood bead garland in gold. The golden garland is subtle but provides just enough gorgeous gold hue for some extra shine.
Use White Ornaments
Incorporating white ornaments into a holiday tree is a great way to make a powerful statement, plus, white Christmas decorations are timeless. White has the ability to make the rest of the decorations stand out, while still offering a timeless, classic look.
To add a little extra flair, consider adding texture to your white ornaments, such as feathers or even burlap. If you're feeling inspired, take your white ornaments and give them an extra sparkle. Taking into account the season and your style, white can be the perfect way to give a whimsical feel to your holiday tree.
TIP - If you have minimal color options, include ornaments with a large variety of texture, shapes and sizes.
From white glass balls to three-dimensional trees and stars, it's important to add different textures and shapes. The stars and the white twig balls are fun white baubles that add a ton of texture and dimension. This is especially needed if your tree only contains a couple of colors.
Add Gold Ornaments
Choose a selection of gold Christmas ornaments to compliment all of the white decor. Too much gold can overpower the white, so make sure to get a good balance of both colors.
It's also ideal if you can use different shades of gold colors. There is a lot more variety in your gold tree when you bring in other shades of the same color family. I chose simple gold accents, but they all pack a punch of sparkle and light.
Gold glitter ornaments are ever popular because the light reflecting on them creates an amazing shimmer. And you can see that I have included simple ball ornaments in a golden matte finish and a shiny finish as well. The clear balls with gold designs provide just enough of a visual statement, yet subtle that it doesn't overpower the remaining ornaments.

Don't Forget the Top and Bottom
Make sure that when the body of your tree is done, you don't forget to accent the base as well as the top of the tree. I love to make most of my own tree toppers large and visible. See how to make the perfect tree topper here. But for this tree I decided to simplify and place a small star on top.
For the base of the tree, feel free to get creative with a Christmas tree skirt or a collar. I have several suggestions on how to add a tree skirt here. I love the soft white skirt at the base of this tree. It ties in well with the chosen color palette. For my favorite tree base options, take a look below.
Additional Room Accessories
Don't forget to compliment the space surrounding your tree with additional items in your color palette. This will help to tie the whole room together visually.
I included a few white tree figurines and a snow globe to create more of the winter wonderland vibe. I also added in another pine tree because I absolutely love the mini trees. Soft pillows and throws are easy to style in your space if you have a seating area. And I love my custom DIY wall sign that ties in to the neutral palette of this room.

The combination of white and gold colors is simple and yet luxurious, making this tree a perfect option for those who want to add a bit of glamour to their holiday decor. By adding wood, white and gold ornaments, and strings of twinkle lights, it is easy to create the perfect festive and stylish ambiance.
Regardless of the theme or style you want, the white and gold Christmas tree is a great choice for adding an elegant touch to the holiday decorations. Get creative and decorate your home this holiday season with a white and gold Christmas tree that will become a cherished family tradition!
