Classy Christmas Bathroom Decor Ideas
Let's be honest. Whether it's your guest bathroom or even your master bath, putting up holiday decor in your bathroom is not the first priority on your list. But maybe it should be! As the least favorite room in your home, what if you could transform that powder room space into something a little more refined? You actually might want to spend more time in there.
Take a look at a few easy ways to change that gross guest bathroom into an appealing sanctuary of holiday cheer.
Add a Vase of Winter Florals
The size of your bathroom may dictate what Christmas bathroom decorations you can use. But generally, in any small space you can always find room for greenery. Our white bathroom has a lot of neutral coloring, so the first thing to do is to bring in a little color with some winter stems.
Using winter branches is an easy way to show a festive touch. I used a white and red vase, then filled it with faux berry branches. The green and red color accents are perfect for this neutral space. Faux branches are some of my favorite because they can be recycled each year in decorating. However, if fresh is your preference, grab some fresh cedar stems and pine cones for a lush scent.
A small bath stool tucked next to our tub area is ideal for bathroom accessories. This is a great spot that is pretty visual for adding holiday items, without interfering with other uses in the bathroom. This holiday vase makes a great addition of color in this space. Plus, I love adding small figurines like this elegant reindeer because it pulls in the gold finishes in the bathroom.
If you have a larger bathroom, you can even add a mini Christmas tree or two to make a festive atmosphere.
Christmas Textiles
For added softness and texture, any type of Christmas textile is a simple way to incorporate holiday charm into your daily routine. You can choose any variety of textiles to create a holiday vibe.
- Bath mats for the tub
- Festive shower curtain
- Toilet seat covers
- Bath rugs for under your vanity
- Christmas bath towels
- Christmas hand towels
I am using a simple charcoal gray hand towel accented with a red ribbon. But any towel with subtle Christmas patterns will do. If you don't love over-the-top holiday fabrics, then opt for neutral Christmas towels and use holiday accessories to go with them. I also accessorized with a faux winter branch, candles and a lovely jar of bath salts for added elegance.
Countertop Christmas Bathroom Decor
But what can you do about that bathroom countertop? When you have limited counter space, it's hard to fill them with decorative knick knacks, even as the holiday season approaches. I admit, I do not love to have my counters cluttered. I purposefully avoid a soap dish and instead go with a liquid soap dispenser for a more polished look.

So a great way to find a balance here is to simply do what was done near the bathtub area and add in Christmas florals or stems. This way you can pick something that will be elongated and take up less room. I used solid white vases and changed up the greenery by using a mixture of faux pines and berries. Style your vase in a corner where it can be out of the way but still a visible focal point.
Holiday Mirror Accents
One of my favorite ways to bring a dose of Christmas cheer into the bathroom is by adding decor to the bathroom mirror. When you have a small bathroom and can't afford for anything to take up too much space, this is the perfect solution. Decorating mirrors is an optimal way to bring in elegance to your room. See how I decorated my mirrors in other areas of my home for the holidays.
A simple floral spray of branches is stunning above the bathroom mirror. To create this look you will need 4 full stems of whatever Christmas branches you love, 2 for each side. I used a combination of faux greenery and frosted branches with berries.
Zip tie them together in the middle. Then, complete the look with a ribbon in the middle and fan out the perimeter for more wall coverage. This draws your eye upwards and creates a stunning visual appeal.
You can also spruce up your bathroom mirror with a strand of garland or a few strings of twinkling lights. Adding a few small decorations will make your bathroom mirror festive and inviting.
