Whether you are renting, have a boy, a girl or need simple Christmas bedroom decor. You will find 9 different Christmas bedrooms to help you create the perfect room this year.
My daughter asked me, "Mom, when are we going to decorate the tree?" My husband replied with, "when has Mom ever let you touch the tree?" Totally a true statement. I am a little possessive of my Christmas tree.
I was feeling a little guilty.... so I bought my kids their own trees for their bedrooms and I added a few other items to add a hint of Christmas in their rooms for the holiday season. Also check out the different ways I decorated the primary bedroom and guest bedroom.
Idea 1 - Christmas in a Girls' Room
In this bedroom I started with these cute signs to add a little Christmas cheer. In a child's room it is easy to add Christmas bedroom decor to a dresser or desk. This makes it much easier for set up and take down.
Then I also found these cute bottle brush trees at Walmart. The miniature Christmas tree can be an inexpensive, yet a fun way to fill in small spaces. I bought a couple in different sizes, colors and shapes to mix things up a bit. It is a great way to make a mini winter wonderland in a kids room.
Since they needed their own tree to decorate I found these 6 ft flocked trees at Walmart for only $75. It's hard to find trees this size for that price so it was worth it!
And, if you didn't notice they LOVE them. We made those cute felt garlands together. You can get the flat balls here to make your own too.
We used these shatterproof ornaments, so I didn't have to worry about them breaking.
I added a pillow to her bed and TADA her room has the perfect touch of holiday cheer.
Idea 2- My 2nd Daughter's Room
She also loves her tree... can you tell? She made some felt garlands to add to her tree for a festive touch. To change her tree up a little bit I added large snowflakes
On her desk I added some small touches to make her room feel more festive. I got her some little pine trees as well and added a cute pom pom Christmas wreath with my merry and bright cutout to the back of her chair.
To top it off her Christmas bedroom decor I also added 2 throw pillows to her bed as well. So easy, but they love it.
Idea 3 - Teen Girl's Christmas Bedroom
When you are working with a bold decor, like this wallpaper. Make your Christmas bedroom decor match the existing color scheme. Just think if that tree was red, it would clash with the rest of the room decor.
For ornaments we used rose gold and gold. We also added poinsettias to help fill in the tree. Then we added charcoal ribbon to help tie everything into the wallpaper even more.
To top it all off we added cute bottle brush trees to her nightstand.
Idea 4 - Easy Boy Christmas Bedroom Decor
For little buddies Christmas tree we went with an Avengers theme. Every year we buy a few new ornaments for him to add to his tree. He kept his decor simple with some red, blue and green ornaments.
Truth be told they were left over from a few years ago. But they matched this Avenger ornaments perfectly. For the finishing touch we tied ribbon on the ends of some of the branches.
We added a cute Merry Christmas sign and matching nutcracker to his nightstand for the perfect Christmas touch in his room.
Idea 5 - Guest Bedroom for Christmas
A smaller Christmas tree is the perfect way to give this guest room a festive feel.
If you want to take it a little further you can add a fun tray to the end of the bed too.
I kept this simple by adding some juniper stems in a vase, a peppermint garland I made and this cute reindeer. Most of the decor in this room came from Krumpet's Home Decor.
This believe sign is an easy way to add a fun flair a Christmas room. It is nice and big to make a big impact.
Idea 6 -Christmas Master Bedroom
I wanted to bring holiday spirit into my bedroom without changing the whole thing up.
First, I changed up this cute tray. Items I added to the tray include:
- new lush greenery to the pitcher,
- a mini Christmas tree - Lots of options here
- garland to match my color scheme that my girls and I made using super cute peppermint felt balls
- one red ornament for the perfect hint of Christmas.
I find that it's the little details that really bring out the Christmas accents.

You may have caught on by now. Accent pillow cases are a great way to easily add Christmas to a space. I added 2 new pillows I got off of Amazon for super cheap... $6. They compliment my pillows I use every day so well.
To finish off the look, I had my friend Brittney from Currently Chic make me this fun "meet me under the mistletoe" sign. It was the crowning jewel for sure. Plus, signs and cutouts are so easy to switch out. (Much easier than painting a room a new color!)
I also made a free printable of this sign (download here)
Idea 7 - Rent Friendly Christmas Decor
Decorate your Bed!
While we built our home. We rented the upstairs of my aunt's house. When Christmas rolled around I really wanted to decorate. The solution was to decorate my bed frame.
I added the flocked garland to the footboard and headboard with some red berries. I used this to hang our stockings as well. Aren't they so cute. If I were to do this again, I wouldn't use a flocked garland. It can get a little messy on the bed. You can see the full blog post on this bedroom here
Idea 8 - Classy Christmas Bedroom Decor
For our new master bedroom I kept it simple. But, I wanted to make sure what I did do I made big impact.
The classy red sign helps to bring your eye up and red throw brings your eye back down. Creating that punch of color without being overwhelming. Brittany from Currently Chic makes these beautiful signs
I added some greenery to the chandelier and mini trees to the night stands. This helps offset the red and creates a beautiful classy Christmas Bedroom.
Idea 9 - Neutral Christmas Ideas
There is just something simply elegant about a neutral Christmas bedroom.
Not only is it elegant it is so easy to create this look. I pulled out our flocked tree and left it naked. The nightstands needed few flocked branches and there you have a beautiful neutral Christmas bedroom.
I hope this help you create that perfect bedroom. Whether it is for a boy, a girl, a guest or yourself.
Happy Decorating and Merry Christmas
Brooke
