Teal and Burgundy Fall Decor

Teal and Burgundy Fall Decor

Holiday Decorating & Crafts

I can’t believe summer has come and gone. It is my favorite time of the year so I am a little sad to say goodbye. But that means fall is here and Christmas is close behind, so it is time to get decorating. This year I decided to go with teal and burgundy fall decor. In the past I have just gone with teal, but when I was at Joann’s I couldn’t pass up the burgundy!

How to Incorporate Fall into your Decor

  • Accent your decor that is already on display – I love to decorate, but I don’t love the mess that comes with it. So instead of changing EVERYTHING out, this year I have tried to incorporate my seasonal decor into my every day decor. Plus, it will help me have an easier transition for when we move.

For example, here is how my dough bowl looks most of the time. For fall I added pumpkins in place of the boxwood balls and the moss balls.

  • Change out your current greenery to seasonal florals – I changed out the center pitcher on my table and replaced the faux greenery with fall ones. And there you have a super easy centerpiece. I wanted to bring in some color so I added my teal  pumpkins to the mix.

  • Accent your fall decor with a color – Each year I try to reuse my decor from the previous year, but I like to add something new. If the budget doesn’t allow it I have been know to paint anything and everything I can. I used all my pumpkins from last year, my cotton stems and some greenery. I found these burgundy Sunflowers and Peonies on a killer deal. They were the perfect touch to add, changing it up just enough without costing me a fortune! $53 to be exact.

I did the same thing with my mantel as I did with the centerpiece on my table. I just pulled out my every day decor and added in my teal and burgundy fall decor to fill in the holes.

A great way to decorate for fall is by focusing on neutral colors first, like my cathedral windows and baskets, then adding in accents. The natural taupes and browns in my current home decor look great with the burgundy accents I purchased.
