Dollar Tree Halloween DIYs
DIY Twine Crafts
When it comes to dollar store Halloween decorations, it can be difficult to find something that isn't tacky or cheap looking. So let me show you how you can transform that cheap look of thrift stores decor into something elegant.
Head to your local Dollar Tree and look for Halloween items that have a tinsel twine coating. You'll want to find something that can be easily removed and that has a plastic frame for this Dollar Tree Halloween DIY. A great example is this tinsel spider, a witch boot or plastic skulls.
Remove the tinsel coating a little bit at a time until only the frame remains. Begin replacing that tinsel with a black jute twine. Slowly wind it around the frame - it doesn't have to be perfect but it does need to be kept tight.
The spider was a little tricky because of the legs, but it went fairly fast for this Dollar tree Halloween DIY. Jute twine is a nice addition because it removes the cheap material and instead creates and elegant finish without the high cost.
You can also add fairy lights for additional decoration, if desired. The witch shoe took me about 20 minutes.
Creepy Candles
Another option to impress your party guests is by decorating your home with DIY creepy candles. You can easily make these arrangements using dollar store items and a little bit of spray paint.
Place them on your fireplace or near your front door entry to set the tone for Halloween visitors.
Ghost Candles
If you want to try a dollar store decoration that is really simple, invest in a few white taper candles and candle holders to accompany them. DIY ghost candles are a simple craft that doesn't take a lot of time and can really spice up your space.
Ghost candles are some of my favorite accents to use on my Halloween mantel. However, they are also exceptional items for a coffee table, entry table or in the kitchen.
Spooky Dollar Tree Halloween DIYs
With just a few simple supplies and a bit of imagination, you can transform your home into a Halloween haunt without overspending.
