Christmas in the Dining Room

I have been so excited to get my dining area all done and decorated for Christmas. But before you can decorate for Christmas you have to actually have a dining room set. So let's start there.

  • Christmas Decorations

Dining Table

I found this table from Downeast Home. I love the grey bottom and the oak top. Plus, the table leaves pull out on each side to accommodate a few more people! Chairs and a bench came with this table, but they were not the look I was going for. I wanted to add some textures and other tones. Part of me loves the collected look too, so this was the perfect solution.

Seating in the Dining Area

To bring in more tone and texture, these beautiful wicker chairs from Safavieh fit the bill. Wicker chairs are a perfect option for adding texture to your space. I love the warm and cool tones in their coloring helping to pull the whole look together.

For the bench I found this woven leather bench. The leather makes it easy to keep clean, but it also adds another fun texture. Adding white tones also lightens the space up a bit.

Flooring Accents

I searched and searched for a rug to go under my table. When I found this one from Safavieh I snatched it up. The dark border ties in the dark accents in my home. But the white and beige variations in it definitely help to hide stains (always a PLUS with kids).

Christmas Decorations

Having to clear off a bunch of decor every time we use our table isn't practical or realistic, so keeping it simple is ideal. I used two real touch garlands from afloral. For the middle centerpiece I placed four candle sticks and a cute gold star in the center. I added my favorite mistletoe sign from currently chic, two red pillows and a red throw. Oh, and I can't forget the mistletoe on the light!
