For this next step, you will want a small strand of lights. I love using twinkly or fair lights for this. They are pretty small and you can usually find strands that aren't super long with a small battery pack.

Take your strand of lights and place them inside your acrylic clear box. You will move these around somewhat once your ornaments or trinkets are placed inside.

Now you can add any ornaments or whatever decor you have picked to display. Ornaments are perfect for this because they can be pretty cheap, or you can even make some classy ones yourself like I did. See my velvet ornaments or these beautiful metallic painted ones.

Finish Off the Container

For my finishing touches, I like to add a ribbon and stack my containers. I used a flat ribbon without a bow for the base. This way it will stack more easily with the top container.

See? Stack your second box neatly on top of the first. You don't have to include everything in this first display. You can even change up what items you want to display. I used bells to go on top of my ornaments.
