Fall is coming and that means I need all these amazing idea vibes flowing through me to give you all some good decorating tips! Let's talk tablescapes. There are so many things you can do in creating unique decor that you like and that goes along with whatever season you choose. Tablescapes are a simple and easy way to do that. Plus, they allow you to use and reuse items around your home instead of purchasing a wardrobe full of new decor. Reuse and recycle people! It's easiest on budgets. Now for my first fall tablescape, I decided to use succulents and pumpkins because I love them!
Tips for Creating a Fall Tablescape: Succulents and Pumpkins
- Reuse and recycle items around your house so you aren't blowing your budget
- Combine items together that you wouldn't normally use
- Change up textures (i.e. pumpkins, pinecones, succulents)
- Use colors not typical for the season (turquoise, white and brown)
I love the texture succulents add and they match my newly painted white and turquoise pumpkins perfectly. I found some orange dollar store pumpkins from last year so I decided to give them a facelift! I used some leftover turquoise and white paint to create these beautiful pumpkins.
Also, I feel like the succulents tie in to the last bit of summer as we are transitioning into fall, so it is a fun combination for the changing seasons. I have been collecting succulents for a bit now! As I would find one that had the texture or color I was looking for I would buy it. I planted them in these buckets I have been collecting for years, which provide the perfect addition of farmhouse charm. Then, I added a few pine cones and I LOVE how this centerpiece turned out. The succulents and pumpkins go perfectly together.
After completing my table piece, I couldn't leave my shelves empty so I added just a touch of fall to them as well. I always get so excited to pull my burlap sunflowers out and add them to my fall decor.
To keep my decor neutral I added my canvas pumpkin I made the previous year and some pine cones from last year's Christmas decor.
And last but not least, another one of my newly painted pumpkins for a touch of color and a cute sweater pumpkin.
I hope this gives you ideas on some fall tablescapes! Stay tuned next week for another idea on a fun fall centerpiece.
