Welcome to our home!
Entry on a budget
I don’t think my entryway stays the same for more than a week! It is my favorite area to change around and if I decorate for a holiday it is always on this table. However I have decided to keep it the same for a little while so I went with something more generic.
Hanging decor or artwork
When deciding what to put in an entryway, a hanging piece of decor is always a great way to go. It adds style while also making the space seem larger. My handwritten welcome cutout is a favorite of mine so I decided to add it to my entryway and cut it as big as my machine could go! I am happy to say we are now selling this sign in our Etsy shop as well! It measures 39″ long x 13″ tall. It is the perfect statement piece for any entry way! Get yours here
To frame our new welcome cutout I used the pallet frame I made. Did you see my post on how I made this frame, as well as weathered this wood in hours instead of years? It’s pretty simple and a great DIY-er. Check it out here
Add a table
Add a small entryway table. These are great for placing seasonal home decor, or for just needing a place to set your bag and keys so they won’t get lost! I may or may not be speaking from personal experience… I get asked about this table all the time. I bought it at a garage sale for $10. The top glass was missing so I replaced the top with pallet wood (full tutorial here) and I painted the rest with a grey milk paint.
Accent with items around your house
Decorate your table with items you find around your house. Plants, clocks, candles, books, vases, things that are different heights and sizes. Items like these help to add color and style, such as my favorite chippy ammo box. My hubby bought this ammo box for me for $20… but when he brought it home it was not very pretty. I painted it with some milk paint to get this chippy look and it is the perfect pop of color! (tutorial here)
