Although my kitchen is a bright off-white, I knew I would still need a good amount of under-cabinet lighting due to limited natural light coming in from the window across the room.

Next, consider the style and aesthetic of your kitchen. Do you want sleek and modern LED strips, or are you more drawn to classic puck lights? Find your style of lights for any budget at places like Home Depot, to Ikea and specialty lighting stores.
Finally, make sure to take into account the power supply for your lighting - whether you opt for hardwired fixtures or battery-operated options with a remote control.
Puck Lights
In my kitchen I have battery-operated puck lights in the upper cabinets that I control with a remote.
Hardwired Underside of the Cabinet
I opted for hardwired under the bottom of the cabinet, above the countertops. This is also where my outlets are so they are not in my backsplash.
LED Light Strips
Motion sensor LED strips are on the bottom of my lower cabinets. They automatically turn on when they sense motion at night, which is a good idea if you are frequently up at night with kids, pets, etc.
By carefully selecting the right type of kitchen lights under cabinets, you can transform your kitchen into a beautifully illuminated space that suits your needs and style perfectly.
Also Consider:
- Light bars
- Rope lights or tape lights

- Lights inside of the cabinet
