Who is ready for my bathroom reveal?
Bathroom remodeling may be a lot of work, but the end results are always worth it. This was the last bathroom in our home that had not been redone. I had been hesitant to start remodeling a space as life has been a little crazy, but when Jeffery Court asked to team up on a One Room Challenge, I decided to give it a try... and I am so glad I did.
Final Bathroom Reveal
Here is the before!
Ready for the AFTER?!?
I am in LOVE!!! I was wanting to create a tone on tone space with lots of texture. Tone on tone can be a little hard to achieve without being boring.
I used the Stone Lace tile from Jeffery Court for the bathtub surround. I love the soft pattern it has. To compliment it I used a smaller pattern tile, the Primrose Chapel also from Jeffery Court. They are both the same color scheme and I used white grout throughout so they compliment each other nicely.
Our walls had a lot of damage from the previous built in vanity and mirror so rather then sheetrock again we created wainscoting using โ " thick hardboard for the backing. You can see more about it here.
Rather than use a towel bar I stuck with the hooks. I love how functional the hooks are and they add a fun design element as well.
I used the same mirror that was previously in this space, I just spruced it up with some white lacquer. You can see my tutorial here. I always like to reuse an item when remodeling. It helps the budget.
Originally I was going to paint the vanity that was already in here white... but, when I found this vanity for 50% off I snatched it up! We will used the other vanity in our daughters' bathroom.
I love how everything turned out with this final bathroom reveal. Happy remodeling!
