Create spooky and sweet Halloween Pretzel and Milk Chocolate Brooms!

Halloween isn’t just about costumes and candy. It’s about creating fun, whimsical treats that add a little magic to your party table. One of our favorite easy DIY Halloween snacks this year? Pretzel and milk chocolate brooms! They’re simple to make, delicious, and perfect for a Halloween-themed charcuterie board or a spooky snack plate.

Chocolate Broom Ingredients:

  • Pretzel sticks
  • Milk chocolate (or chocolate chips)
  • Optional: colored sprinkles or edible glitter for extra flair

Halloween Food Instructions:

  • Assemble the broom base:
Take one full pretzel stick for the handle. Break another pretzel in half and place the halves at the bottom of the stick, fanning them out slightly. This forms the base of your broom bristles.

  • Melt the chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt your milk chocolate in 20–30 second intervals, stirring in between until smooth and glossy.
  • Create the broom bristles:
Using a spoon or a piping bag, drag the melted chocolate over the broken pretzel pieces in long, downward strokes to mimic broom bristles. Layer the chocolate until the pretzel halves are fully coated.

  • Optional decorations:
While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle with Halloween-themed sprinkles, edible glitter, or even a pinch of crushed cookies for a rustic broom effect.
  • Let them set:
Place your brooms on parchment paper and allow the chocolate to harden. You can speed up this process in the fridge for about 10–15 minutes.
