Cuisine American
- 5 Russet potatoes
- ½ cup Flour
- ½ cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- Cooking spray
Optional Seasonings
- Garlic powder, Italian seasoning, Ranch seasoning, Onion powder, etc.
Soak and Process Potatoes
Soak your cut up potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes. This will help to remove the starches and crisp up your fries.
While the potatoes are soaking, make the Parmesan and flour mixture and put it in a bowl with a lid. Add any additional seasonings to your flour mixture.
Remove the potatoes from the cold water and pat dry with a paper towel, but still leave moist so the flour mixture will stick to the potatoes.
Take your potatoes and place them into the flour Parmesan mixture. Place the lid on tight and shake the potatoes until they are all covered.
Bake Fries
Cover a cookie sheet with tin foil and spray lightly with cooking spray.
Place the potatoes on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes. The fries should be golden brown and crispy. If you want them to be more crispy, you can broil fries for 1-2 minutes.
You can also cook these in an air fryer for 20 minutes on 400 degrees.
Substitutes and Additions
- Swap out your Russet potatoes for other potatoes you may have on hand - red, yellow or even sweet potato
- Add different seasonings to your flour mixture to alter the taste. Adding garlic powder or garlic salt is a delicious alternative. You can use cinnamon with sweet potato fries.
