Alright friends it is time to start thinking Christmas! Can you believe it is that time of year again? We are working on creating some fun things for Christmas. First up are my 2 newest handwritten cutouts, merry and bright and holly jolly.
My favorite thing about our cutouts is they are so versatile. They come unfinished so you can paint them, glitter them, or even leave them raw. You can also do so many things with them. Here I have added the holly jolly to my shiplap. Since they are so light they are easy to hang as well. This one is just resting on a nail at the top of the first L. Get your holly jolly here
You can even add them to a chalkboard. I drew some ornaments, a little tree and wrote “may your days be” and topped it off with my merry and bright cutout. I just used command strips to attach this cutout to my chalkboard.
I added a few pine trees and TADA I have a cute little christmas vignette! You can get your merry and bright cutout here
How to paint your cutout
We sell sample sizes of milk paint so you can paint your own. These are also super fun for family craft parties. YouTube video here on how to paint with milk paint
Or… you can spray paint them.
My favorite brand of spray paint is Rustoleum. It has good coverage and it is easy to use. If you are spraying your cutout white I would recommend a primer spray paint like Kilz or Zinnser. I usually give mine 2 coats and they are good to go!
See I told you… super easy!
Happy Crafting
