I don’t know what it is….but I LOVE to repurpose things. Maybe it is the satisfaction of knowing I took something that was not wanted anymore and turned it into something new and usable. If someone tells me they are taking something to the dump my mind goes crazy….what could I turn it into? How can I bring it back to life? So, I thought I would round up my top 10 favorite repurposes to share with you……and maybe you can save something from the dump too!
You may own a curio or you may have seen them at thrift stores. If you are looking for a way to update them….I have just the thing for you!
A beautiful storage cabinet that can be used for so many things!
Here is another curio cabinet!
I turned this one into storage as well. They just turn out so pretty I can’t leave them behind anymore.
There are so many uses for old windows…and actually they look cute just as they are sitting on a shelf. When the glass gets broken….I have the solution!
Turn it into a chalkboard! I love how old windows look as chalkboards,
I used my welcome cutout as the wording (buy here).
How about this old bed frame….that used to be a bunk bed? It had many layers of paint on it and it was in bad shape. My cute little helper and I got to work and turned it into…..
A bench, it turned out so beautiful and I am sure it will be used for years to come.
I picked this old crib up for $5. I figured for that price I could experiment with it and worse case I would use the spindles for something!
I am so glad I did, look how cute this bench turned out!
Any guesses what I turned this into? The top 2 drawers were missing, and when I pulled the fabric off the top it was completely destroyed. Time to figure out something else to do with it.
How about a bench? And with all of your help this bench won Bob Vila’s Thumb’s Up Challenge twice!!

While we are on the subject of dressers look at this beauty. I found her at a garage sale…the only catch the owner didn’t know where the drawers were. What do you do with a drawer less dresser?
Turn it into a bench of course! This is one of my all time favorite repurposes. This dresser was headed to the dump for sure but now it is a one of a kind piece with so much character.
I love the details of old balusters …. and for the matter new ones are beautiful too! But other then putting them on your stains what do you do with them??
Turn them into candles sticks of course! They make beautiful candlesticks with so much character!
This door was so hammered. The top is actually metal someone added to cover up the old glass part and it had done its time as a door…..
So, we turned it into this beautiful shelf.
Last but not least this old retro record player! I love tearing them apart, it is like a puzzle mixed with lots of demo!!
It is now a beautiful bench/credenza in our office.

October 17, 2016 at 8:19 pmYou are seriously talented! I love your vision! Thanks for the inspiration, I actually saw one of those old record player units on Craig’s list and racked my brain trying to figure out what to do with it if I bought it, now I’m going to check and see if it’s still available!
