I love spring and I love to bring a hit of it into my home. Today I will be taking you on a tour of my home and over the next 4 weeks I will be showing you 8 other Utah homes. Are you ready to get started?!
Welcome to our home!
Our small planked wall is one of my favorite things we redid.
I love the texture and it is the perfect backdrop for this table. I don’t do much decorating for the seasons or holidays but if I do anything it is usually to this table.
I brought in some fresh flowers and some daffodils to brighten this table up. After these daffodils die I will plant the bulbs outside and they will come up for years to come.
We are not front room lovers, as they seem to always collect dust. So we converted our front room into an office. I was worried I would hate having my desk at my front door but so far I have loved it. Having this big desk helps to hide the mess!
I love my gold frame gallery wall. I am always on the hunt for an ornate gold frame. I was getting quite a stash of them in storage so decided they needed to be put to use. This wall houses my favorite things….my frames, reclaimed wood, cutouts but more importantly my 3 cute kiddos!
As you walk past my entry table you will come into my family room and kitchen area
This gold mirror was too big to fit into the gallery wall…so it got a wall of it’s own!
I am in love with this sofa table, it has been shuffled around for quite awhile, but I think it has finally found it’s home! I love that it brings the color from my office into the family room. I felt guilty cutting these daffodils from my front yard…but good thing it did because it snowed the next day. That is not an uncommon thing in Utah
And we can’t forget my dandelion chest. You may have heard before, but this chest was covered in lead based paint. Once I stripped it down I found this amazing wood, I couldn’t cover up so to bring the wood drawers and painted frame together I added the dandelions, I had every intention of selling this chest, until I finished it. I think it will be with me for a LONG time to come. I added a touch of spring to this chest with my Hydrangea’s and my bird nests.
And on the other side or my dandelion chest is this little sitting area. We use this are for snuggling up with a book and reading. It is such a cozy little corner and I often find my family seating there.
If you turn around you will see my dining area. I added spring to my dining room/kitchen with this beautiful bouquet my husband brought me home. He has figured out you can always make my day with fresh flowers!
And right next to the dining area is my kitchen. I don’t usually add spring to our kitchen, but I like to move my dishes around and rearrange them to change thing up a bit here and there.
Don’t forget to check back every Tuesday and Thursday to see another amazing Utah home!!

April 11, 2016 at 10:14 pmBrook you have such a lovely home. It is full of warmth and character. Everywhere I looked I saw someone who loves their home and has filled it with som any personal touches. That chest with the daffodils is stunning. And the gold accents that are peppered throughout the house make it shine all the more. I hope that you will be finished with all that snow soon enough. Thank you for joining us at Sweet Inspiration.
