Welcome to my Christmas home tour. I can't believe Christmas is in one week....one week....WOW!! And I am finally posting my Christmas tour....oops. Trying to get my girls room ready as their Christmas gift seems to be taking over everything... so here is a brief interruption! (you can read all about my girls rooms here)
I have been wanting a fireplace for so long when I found this mantle at a Vintage market I couldn't let it go and I found it just in time for Christmas too. I am so excited to finally have somewhere to hang my stockings!
I made these stockings last year and they were my favorite thing to pull out this year! Do you have that one item you look forward to pulling out too?
I draped a real cedar pine over the mantle for an easy yet elegant touch of Christmas.
Any guesses what movie we were watching? I will give you a hint...it is one of my favorites.
One day we will add logs to the center of our fireplace...but until then I used this metal wash basin, added the left over cedar, a few of my large Christmas ornaments and pine cones for the perfect centerpiece.
For Christmas this year I wanted to keep it simple.....red and white. Plus it works perfectly with the snow covered look....which I have always loved. I also added a few of my words to my tree (you can buy them here)
My kids were a little sad we didn't have a star this year, but I can remember as a little girl I always loved the look of branches spraying out of the top so when I found these beautiful branches half off I snatched them all up!!
My mom and I are always on the look our for fun wrapping paper. We found the stripes and polk a dots at a craft fair and I am so sad I didn't buy more of it. I bought the big ribbon at Costco for the perfect touch to each of these presents.
Now for my entry. As I said earlier I wanted to keep everything simple this year so instead of taking everything down I added touches of Christmas to what was already there.
And there you have it.... my little Christmas home tour! I hope all of you have a VERY Merry Christmas!!!

Love your vintage mantle! And that wrapping paper - I'm a fan of the stripes & polka dot combo.
