Every girl wants a perfect day, but sometimes that can be hard when the cost is outrageous. To help save on the budget, here are a few inexpensive wedding ideas that help to create a custom feel, but without the price tag.
Inexpensive Wedding Ideas that Look Custom
- Wedding Chalkboard
I was asked to write on this chalkboard for a friend’s wedding. My first thought was to say no as this is WAY out of my comfort zone. I do love to write, but this had to be perfect. Finally, I talked myself into it and I am so glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone because I LOVED it. And if I might be a little cocky right now… I am pretty pleased with how it turned out.
I didn’t make this chalkboard, but it is just made out of 2×4’s and the chalkboard is stapled to the back. It is an easel so it is standing there by itself. You can see how I wrote this in the video below.
I did freehand this, but before I put it on the chalkboard I sketched it out and then used a pencil to draw it on first!
- Windows, Corbels & Name Cutouts
This summer my niece also got married. I had the pleasure of making her a set of my windows and a cute cutout to welcome their guests as well. These windows have numerous uses, but I really love them styled this way. Now Jess is using this in her home as part of her decor. Corbels would also be a fun way to bring style to a wedding table.
- Lights – Garland – Balloons
My ever so talented sister-in-law decorated the entry to Jess and Jackson’s reception so cute. I love how simple yet elegant it is! Any time you can add lights and garland to anything then do it! It gives a dressy and classic look that is very inexpensive. Color coordinating with balloons or flowers is another easy decoration, as well as using lanterns and candles.
- Marque Signs
And don’t forget these amazing marque signs that are bold, bright and beautiful. LOVE LOVE LOVE
- Groom & Bride
Another way to get beautiful decor that is classy is by using cutouts like these groom and bride, or mr and mrs. These are fun to style on gift tables, food tables, or hang on the chairs of the bride and groom for the reception.
