How to Saltwash Decor Items

Do you love the beachy feel to things? I sure do. I love the soft textures and the beautiful colors! What if I told you, you could achieve a beach feel from a paint? Well you totally can with Saltwash!

Saltwash is a paint additive that comes in the powder form and can be added to just about any paint: Chalk paint, latex paint, milk paint, acrylic paint to name a few.

I ran into the local thrift store to find some decor items I could transform with saltwash. $11 later here is what I can out with.

Ready to see what they look like now?

Pretty amazing what junk can be turned into right? I had the privilege of demonstrating how to use this on a local TV station, KSL Studio 5. You can watch that below.

I have a complete step by step tutorial on how to use it here as well.

Saltwash is a fun and easy technique. I don't let my kids paint very much, but I did let them paint my daughters desk and it turned out great.

Happy painting!!
