Fall Edition of Shop the House, Week 1

Are you ready for the Fall edition of shop the house?  You may remember the shop the house challenge I did in January...but if not here is a little recap.......As bloggers we wanted to put some focus on shopping our homes.  Whenever I think I want to change things around the first thing I do is start shopping....but rather then spend our holiday budgets on buying new items we are getting creative with things we already have. Each blogger is selecting on area of their house and for the next 4 weeks we will be restyled using only items that we already own. We can DIY or transform a piece but only if we had the items on hand for the project.
This time around I have chosen my open shelves in my kitchen.  They are still a favorite of mine and make the perfect backdrop for my pictures.  I wanted to add a little fall to them and change a few things up!

My husband took down the cabinet that used to be here and helped me build new open shelves to display my collected dishes.  (tutorial here)  I don't know why but I love turquoise and white dishes.  There are very few times when I have left one behind, so they needed their own space....and for the most part my kids leave them alone...huge plus!

Fall Edition of Shop the House

I am so excited to add some fall elements to them and rearrange a bit...and lets be honest they could probably use a good dusting!
