I am so happy to have Kristen from Studio 7 Interiors sharing her house with us today for another round of our Utah Spring Home Tour
Take it aways Kristen……
Interior Design is my passion, aside from my beautiful family. I have a wonderful husband who is my biggest supporter and I have three beautifully spunky young daughters and a little baby boy who has stolen my heart.
I have been trained in Interior Design by attending the design program at Salt Lake Community College. Attending those classes and getting challenged in that atmosphere was amazing. I had the great opportunity of traveling for four summers and was able to work for different design centers across the nation. But, I have to say that I most enjoyed my on site training while apprenticing with a design firm in Virginia while my husband and I lived there for two years. I walked away with so much more insight, and my love for design just was magnified!
Since moving back to Salt Lake City, and becoming a stay at home mother, I realized that I needed Interior Design in my life, and this is how Studio 7 Interior Design was born. After a few years of designing rooms for friends and family I officially launched my business in 2013 and I feel so blessed to be able to do both of my dream jobs. (Mommy by day/ Interior Designer by night…)
My specialty is low cost, high style decorating. I love budget’s and work very hard to find the perfect affordable pieces while still keeping the integrity of the design. I get great pleasure knowing my clients feel like they are coming home, and get that sigh of relief when I leave them with their new room.
My style is hard to nail down. I’d call it a modern eclectic chic?! Lol I love clean lines and a modern vibe but I love accessorizing and Making a house feel lived in and welcoming. I’m more traditional and my husband more contemporary so it’s a good middle ground. We both love the feel.
The gallery wall is what started the room design. It was such a fun time finding all of the quotes to frame.
Black and white is my jam. I’m in love with the contrasting vibe… add a little but of color and it’s perfection in my book.
I found this table for $25 on ksl… a little tlc and elbow grease and it looks brand new.
I haven’t touched the kitchen aside from a little styling. I dream of a white eclectic kitchen one day but am thankful for this for now.
The blue chair corner is my fave spot in the house for obvious reasons.
Teal is my favorite color and I love the relaxed feel of my bedroom. It feels fresh all year round.
My girls helped me pick every details of their room! It turned out perfect!
This black dresser is vintage and has been passed down from my husband’s great grandma. My mom rocked myself and all of my siblings in this rocking chair and now I get to continue the tradition with all of my kids.
I hope you all enjoyed Kristen’s beautiful home as much I did! Thank you for sharing it with us!!
