Budget Friendly Christmas Front Porch

Budget Friendly Christmas Front Porch

Holiday Decorating & Crafts, My Home

As you all know, I love to decorate my front porch! Winter holidays are no exception even when it is freezing outside. Perhaps I like to decorate them even more so since the winter can be so drab and ugly when there is no snow outside and everything is dying. And so, my budget friendly Christmas front porch was created!

How to Create a Budget Friendly Christmas Front Porch

Add Garland and Lights

Normally you see a lot of lights on front porches for Christmas time. However, I like to add a little something extra. I added this fresh garland I picked up from Costco for $16 a piece.  I have 2 along our porch. Not only do you get beautiful green accents, but you also get a wonderful smell along with it! To complete the look I opted for adding white Christmas lights. You could also add big red bows to tie on to the garland.

Gift Boxes

I added some wrapped presents because I love the look of a perfectly wrapped Christmas package. I wrapped up these 3 boxes  (gift wrapping post) using my gorgeous gingham paper and I’m always a sucker for big beautiful satin ribbon!

Add Ornaments

Looking for another thrifty way to accent that porch with color? I used ornaments from the Dollar Store to fill these lanterns I already had. It adds that extra spruce of color that really makes the lantern pop. You can also use ornaments to create a colorful wreath for your front door if you want to try something different.

Wreaths

Once again, wreaths are the perfect accent for holidays because they can really be interchanged and decorated according to the event. I added our joy wreath to the door. I love combining the wood look with my garland greenery.

Toss Pillows

And I can’t forget about adding some throw pillows from With Lavender and Grace. These are simply adorable and I love that they are suitable for indoors and outdoors. A colorful throw is another option for bringing in color and warmth to your front porch.

More Fresh Greenery

I found this cute fresh cedar sleigh arrangement at Target.  I like to have fresh outside because it will stay green all winter long!
