We are finally in our fall full-throttle and on the way to winter. No snow down in the valley yet, but I swear I saw a few flurries yesterday morning! I’m just going to soak up this beautiful, November chill a little longer. On that note, with so much decorating that happens between Halloween and Christmas, I decided to take a minimalist approach and keep it very basic for November and Thanksgiving. Sometimes when you do so much in such a short amount of time it just really burns you out. I hate feeling like that around the holidays since I really just want to spend time with my family. No one appreciates mom the grump… including myself! And since November is one of the busiest months for me, I am quite content to take a different approach and create a minimalist fall front porch.

  • Using what you already have: To sustain my minimalist approach for November, I decided to keep some of my Halloween decor out since it really can be utilized for more than one holiday because of its neutral colors. I kept my decorative lanterns, as well as my cute fabric pumpkins and black and white toss pillows from With Lavender and Grace. I keep finding that neutral colors are the way to go because of the easy interchange between holidays and I can always add pops of color in anywhere. My metal pumpkins sign is also on display since it goes very well with the fall decor.

  • Pumpkins: Of course, I had to add another splash of pumpkins. Including pumpkins that are not all one color is very beneficial here! I didn’t really want my porch to turn into a giant orange blob, so incorporating some other creams and yellow based was essential for me.

  • Grateful cutout: My thankful cutout was up in my house for quite a while and I decided it was time for a change. I designed this new grateful sign, and I really love it. I decided to put it on my newly painted brick exterior and I love it there. Not just meant for interior use! I use these clips to hang up all of my cutouts on my exterior brick. These cutouts are also available for all budgets and start at $15 depending on the size.

  • Nature: And I can’t forget that nature is also doing it’s own thing right about now and I should just embrace it! Leaves are falling all around and while I don’t appreciate them getting blown into my house, they do present a beautiful fall element that is so simplistic and only adds to that minimalist fall front porch perspective. I think I may not bag these ones up!
