Christmas Gifts

DIY & Crafts, Holiday Decorating & Crafts
A big part of the holidays is giving my neighbors a special holiday gift to let them know we care. Sometimes I think my neighbors must think I’m a recluse since I’m always in my shop or working. I promise that isn’t the case! One year I decided I wanted to give Christmas gifts with a little bit of my personality in it, instead of baking cookies or something.  As I am sure you can tell, I love all things vintage, but vintage candy probably wouldn’t taste so great, that is if I could even find some – Ha! I decided to go a different route. My oldest helped me to create all of these Vintage Christmas treats. What a great way to have some mother-daughter time as well as serving others!

What You’ll Need:

  • Bagged Hershey nuggets
  • vintage sheet music (I picked mine up at a local thrift store)
  • cellophane
  • twine or ribbon
  • Christmas tag

Vintage Christmas Gifts – Candy Treats

First, make sure you have all your supplies. Nothing like having to go back to the store 5 times because you forgot something! I bought bagged Hershey nuggets at the local grocery store, holiday section. Then, I wrapped each piece of candy with vintage sheet music that I picked up at my local thrift store. Something that would also be fun is using holiday Christmas music. Once they were all covered with sheet music, I used cellophane to wrap them up in bunches.

Tie some twine around each package and add a cute tag, homemade or otherwise! I attached these awesome tags I found at Shanty 2 Chic for the final touch!

I used a slightly larger size of Hershey bar for these ones, I loved all the fun colored wrappers! To dress them up a bit I went with gold glittered ribbon instead of twine.  I love how elegant they turned out!

These are the perfect little Christmas gifts to let someone know you care about them.  The best part is they came out to be about $1.50 each! Super budget friendly and still fun for the holidays.
