Fall Tablescapes: Shiplap Pumpkins

Fall Tablescapes: Shiplap Pumpkins

Decorating & Remodel, DIY & Crafts, Etsy Shop & Products, Holiday Decorating & Crafts

As promised, here is part two for creating a fall centerpiece. In addition to my succulents and painted pumpkins from last time, I wanted to see if I could create another seasonal piece using materials and supplies around my house. Remember, my idea here was to decorate my house on a budget or repurposing items I already had. People can spend far too much on decor items when they are on a limited budget. I know – been there and done that! So as you look around your home to spice up your holiday decor, keep this in mind and use the majority of what you have. Add to your decor collection bit by bit and it’ll be easier on the bank account! This brings me to my newest addition, shiplap pumpkins!

Centerpiece: Shiplap Pumpkins

I have always wanted to add some signs to my shelves and centerpiece, but I didn’t quite know how until I started playing around and ended up with my creation of shiplap pumpkins.I am so excited to introduce these as a perfect accent for my shelves and tablescape. I love the hint of fall that they add to the space and that they still give me the rustic farmhouse appeal I wanted. These are also available in my Etsy shop with some other new fall additions. To be kept up to date on my Etsy shop join our newsletter here.

Centerpiece: Scale

Use unique items that you wouldn’t normally use for decorating! I bought this scale a month ago and it has just been hanging out waiting to be used.  Isn’t it darling? It also happens to be backwards. That is the bird’s backside… oops! But I didn’t realize it until it was too late!

I used the same pumpkins I painted from my previous fall tablescape post and rearranged them around this scale.  I had another small bucket full of succulents in our front room, so I changed the big one out for this small one. You can buy this scale and see the front side (hehe) on Amazon here: Creative Co-Op Decorative Iron Scale with Bird (affiliate link).

Open Shelves: Shiplap Pumpkins

As for my shelves, I rearranged a few of my dishes and added my shiplap pumpkins.  Simple, but it added the desired effect to our shelves!

Remember my main points for decorating here:

  • Try to repurpose or create something with the materials around your house!
  • Use unique items you wouldn’t normally grab for decorating.
  • Add to your collection bit by bit- it’s easier on the budget!
  • Open shelves are a great way to display your decor items.

Happy Decorating!
